In this advanced SATYA immersion, we focus on the importance of the visual cortex for brain plasticity. Through eye movement and full body practice we support the eyes to “unhook” from their outer focusing. This enables brain waves to slow down and regulate, allowing neurorelaxation of the total brain circuitry. Plasticity of the visual system enables full body integration. Each class includes SATYA practices for the eyes and guided instruction to release the delicate structures of the frontal bone, sphenoid bones, and temporal bones. Each class starts with a short investigation of the neurological benefits of eye work and insights into the yoga teachings on absorption specifically around the ajna chakra, the “third eye center”.
This immersion furthers SATYA graduates in their practice, teaching, and study of the work. We will allow time for questions that have surfaced in the practice and teaching of SATYA. Plus Tias and Surya offer new movements for the neck, shoulders, and skull. Since all are familiar with the foundational forms, we will explore ways to combine movements into longer sequences of flow.
**Pre-requisite: Completion of SATYA 3

Prajna Yoga: Tias & Surya Little
In Sanskrit, the word Prajna means insight, deep understanding, and mindfulness. It suggests a dynamic embodied wisdom that permeates every cell and every tissue in the body. Prajna Yoga is a profound journey inward.
We believe that yoga is a pathway that begins in the outer layers of the body and mind and navigates inward to the mystical, subtle, and rarely seen interior. We combine meditative practice with the power and grace of asana training. In a process that requires sensitivity and inner listening, we explore the sheaths of connective tissue, muscle, and bone in order to bring about greater wakefulness, luminosity, and space within.
