In Patanjali’s Yoga, the second limb of Ashtanga Yoga called the niyamas, the "inner promises," are instructions for living a skillful life. These promises allow us to stay centered in the midst of an uncertain world. During the stay-at-home order, holding to the niyamas may be more important than ever. In this class Tias gives an overview of the 5 promises—purity, contentment, tapas, self-reflection, and devotion. Then in a live “roundtable” format we will share as a community of practitioners the opportunities and challenges we face today to live the niyamas.

Note: THIS EVENT HAS PASSED. The recording is available for you from Tias's live webinar on April 23, 2020 should you wish to purchase. Thank you!

Prajna Yoga: Tias & Surya Little

Tias and Surya’s collaboration as a husband and wife team is remarkably fresh, innovative and inspiring. While Tias is more verbal and conceptual, Surya’s strength lies in her ability to touch the essence of each individual. They combine the magic of male and female energies, and their alchemy is transformative to students from so many different walks of life. Together they create a path that is at once wide open yet penetrating and progressive.

Be the Path

Prajna Yoga is a profound journey inward. We believe that yoga is a pathway that begins in the outer layers of body and mind and navigates inward to the mystical, subtle and rarely seen interior. We combine meditative practice with the power and grace of asana training.

Personal Transformation

Underlying our teaching is that we do not do poses for the sake of the pose, but for the quality of attention within the pose. Through yoga postures, dharma study, guided meditation, the yoga of sound, somatic awareness and dream work this is a practice that allows for unique, personal transformation.
